My ex's alcoholism caused me to fear for the safety of our young children while in her care. During a long custody battle, my lawyer presented the Judge and me with a new option that hadn't been ordered in our town before: Soberlink. For the first time in years, I didn't have to worry if my co-parent was drinking or how bad it was getting, mainly due to Soberlink's facial recognition component. The system has been a means of building trust, helping hold herself accountable, and allowing more time with the children because I know they are safe. Without the Soberlink program, I would be living in fear for the children's safety, and their mother may not have been able to see them as often, neither of which is healthy. I can honestly say Soberlink has been a major factor in improving our lives.
